Gone - But Not Forgotton
Damo Beatrix de Brittany
6/12/2001 - 5/7/2005 (3.5 years old)

From Barbara
We say goodbye to our beautiful Beatrix (Beatle). I remember the day we picked her up at the airport. A little ball of fur in a big carrier just waiting for someone to cuddle her. Within minutes of arriving at her new home, she had already gone over the whole house with us in pursuit. She soon had Asterix wrapped around her little paw and they grew into wonderful mates. He will miss her terribly as well. As we added to our cat family she quickly made sure that all knew she was in charge. She was a very loving & dignified cat who loved her cuddles. Though every now and then she would forget herself and start playing like a kitten but quickly became that dignified cat again once she realised someone was looking.

My darling Beatle you will be missed terribly but we will never forget the love and joy you gave over the 3 wonderful years you allowed us to call you our own.

From Skeeve
I've had pets before, but no animals have ever wrapped themselves around my heart like our cats. One of them, Beatrix was a lady. She was dignified and proper. She was loving and loved to be loved... and she was. It is something special when an animal trusts its life completely to humans and Beatrix did just that to Barbara and I.

Her eyes were her most stunning feature - the sort that just looked straight through you and into your heart. She had so many 'looks' that you just knew what she was thinking. She was a cat who was more than a pet.. she was a friend and a companion. She was someone who would greet you at the door on your return and show you that your presence had been missed.

Beatrix was taken far too young for a cat who had so much companionship and love to give. She will live long in our hearts - far longer than her time in this world.

Our life now has a void in it, one that can't be filled. Sure, we will get other cats, but the mark that our Beatle left on our lives will never fade.
